Lisi, Kuykendall on season ending injury list

SECAUCUS, N.J. - Red Bull New York announced today that they have placed midfielders Mark Lisi and Shawn Kuykendall on the team's Season Ending Injury List. Lisi sustained a right groin injury while Kuykendall suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.


Lisi, a member of the Red Bulls since 2002, appeared in nine games in 2006 and registered a team-high four assists. The Englewood, Colorado native has seen action in 120 games in his six-year career, recording seven goals and 30 helpers.


Kuykendall was recently acquired by the Red Bulls from D.C. United on August 10, 2006. Drafted by D.C. in 2005, Kuykendall featured in two first team matches in '05 and played a key role on United's Reserve League championship squad that season.


The Red Bulls return to action on Saturday when they host Real Salt Lake at 7:30 p.m. ET at Giants Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on the MSG Network and Fox Sports New York en espanol.
