Decision Day is here


The 2016 MLS regular season is going out with a bang on Sunday: All 20 MLS teams kicking off at the same time (4 pm ET). We have your guide to follow all the Decision Day action, all the scenarios at stakecomplete TV listings (including a whiparound show on ESPN2) and the top storylines.


MLS Matchday Live will also return on Sunday with a 3 pm ET pregame show and a 6:30 pm ET postgame show starring coaching legend Sigi Schmid and former Vancouver boss Martin Rennie. And with the Audi 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs starting Wednesday with the Knockout Rounds, it's time toregister for the playoff Bracket Challenge.


Dallas keep rolling


MLS league leaders FC Dallas stormed back from an early two-goal deficit to punch their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal place by routing hosts Suchitepequez on Thursday night. Now, they will turn their attention to clinching the Supporters' Shield in their Sunday Decision Day showdown against the LA Galaxy (4 pm ET on FS1, MLS LIVE).


QF field is set


With the final group stage matches taking place on Thursday, we have the complete rundown of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal matchups that will take place in February 2017. MLS is assured a place in the semifinals.


Bounced and bummed


If FC Dallas slip up in their MLS finale on Decision Day, Colorado will try to smash 'n grab the Supporters' Shield when they welcome Houston on Sunday (4 pm ET on MLS LIVE). Rapids boss Pablo Mastroeni says this group reminds him of the 2010 side that claimed MLS Cup.


Bulls on parade


The New York Red Bulls will try to sew up home field advantage when they invade Philadelphia on Decision Day (4 pm ET on MLS LIVE). They will also make it a point to support their Red Bulls II reserve side in the USL Cup Final against Sporting Kansas City's Swope Park Rangers on Sunday night (8 pm ET on ESPNU and WatchESPN).


Playoff timber?


After being ousted from the CONCACAF Champions League this week, the Portland Timbers will leave it all on the field as they attempt to extend their title defense at Vancouver on Sunday (4 pm ET on TSN1 in Canada, MLS LIVE in USA).


One last try


Despite concerns that his suspension could be extended, Osvaldo Alonso will be available when the Seattle Sounders try again to tie down a postseason berth in Sunday's home tilt with Real Salt Lake (4 pm ET on ESPN in USA, MLS LIVE in Canada).


Good boss


New York City FC will close the regular season by hosting Columbus Crew SC (4 pm ET on MLS LIVE). Then, they will enter the postseason as one of the East favorites due to the reliable work done by first-year head coach Patrick Vieira.


Second half heroes


D.C. United will have their final playoff tune-up at Orlando City on Sunday (4 pm ET on MLS LIVE). They will enter the postseason as the hottest team in the league, mainly because of the midseason additions that rejuvenated the attack.


Confidence man


Chicago Fire attacking ace David Accam reports that his confidence is high ahead of their season capper at Toronto FC (4 pm ET on TSN4 and RDS in Canada, MLS LIVE in USA).


New kid on the block


Ahead of Sunday's clash at New England (4 pm ET on MLS LIVE), Montreal have signed Homegrown player Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla.


Roger, Roger


Sporting KC midfielder Roger Espinoza is ready to lead their closing day playoff charge when San Jose comes calling on Sunday (4 pm ET on MLS LIVE).


Hunting a Lion?


According to a Mexican report, Queretaro are hatching a plan to try to lure Orlando City star Kaka and make him the highest-paid player in Liga MX. Then again, Kaka told media on Thursday that he plans to be back in Orlando in 2017.
