Toronto FC coach John Carver described Thursday's introduction of Dwayne De Rosario as his "biggest day at the club so far". De Rosario signed a four year contract and Carver can't wait to start working with the four-time All-Star on the training pitch.
"It's the biggest day since I've been at the club," said Carver. "To sign a player of his caliber, experience and ability is immense. It's a huge day and I can't wait to get him on the training ground now. He's got natural ability, decent pace, great awareness and he scores spectacular goals. He can open the door with a slide pass. He works very hard and he's got a great attitude. He gives everything in every session and that's what I like. You have to have players who train in the same way that they play."

Carver is excited by the versatility De Ro brings, with his ability to play in a number of positions. "He can play in midfield, or just behind the strikers. He can also play on the left and right hand side so he's got a few strings to his bow. When we get together in preseason we'll try a few different formations and see what works best. It's a great day for Toronto FC and I'm sure the fans will be excited. We all can't wait for the first game of the season."
