Houston Dynamo featured in Acceso Exclusivo on Discovery en Espanol

Mauro Manotas - Houston Dynamo - Celebrate

As the 2019 season unfolds, the Houston Dynamo are being featured on Discovery en Espanol via a docu-series that explores the club's continued evolution under head coach Wilmer Cabrera. It serves as the first all-access series produced in Spanish about an MLS club.

The six-episode season is called Acceso Exclusivo, with another episode set to air Tuesday at 7 pm ET. Episode No. 1 debuted June 4.

Building off winning the 2018 U.S. Open Cup, the series begins with preseason preparations in Tucson, Ariz., plus focuses on emerging storylines with several players.

One surrounds Mauro Manotas, the 24-year-old Colombian striker whose profile has grown by leaps and bounds in MLS. He had 19 goals last regular season, leading to overseas interest from several clubs – with Acceso Exclusivo even showing behind-the-scenes talks with Manotas’ agent.

Another angle is Venezuelan striker Ronaldo Pena, who was signed last July by the Dynamo with Targeted Allocation Money. After making nine appearances and scoring once in 2018, this new season offers a chance to break into Cabrera’s plans.

Speaking of Cabrera, fans also get benchside and locker-room looks at how the coach operates.

Further episodes will be released on a weekly basis, while each episode is available on the Discovery en Espanol GO app 24 hours after it airs.
