Chicago Fire Soccer has announced that the club will begin its 12th season of play in Major League Soccer against FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The Fire will host the New York Red Bulls for their home opener at TOYOTA PARK on Sunday, April 5 at 2 p.m. CT. The Fire's home opener will be televised nationally on TeleFutura. The full schedule for the 2009 MLS regular season, including the Fire's remaining 28 games, will be announced in early February.
The Fire will announce individual game ticket information in the coming months, but fans can secure their seats for the home opening match against the Red Bulls by purchasing a 2009 Season Ticket Package. Season Ticket Packages, including a limited supply of full season packages starting at $99, are available now by calling 1-888-MLS-FIRE or clicking on the TICKETS link on the club's official website, www.chicago-fire.com. Chicago Fire Holiday Packs are also on sale and include a copy of the Chicago Fire Sun-Times 10 Year Anniversary Commemorative Coffee Table Book with the purchase of two full season ticket packages.
Chicago is 4-3-4 all-time in season openers and 6-2-3 all-time in home openers.
