FC Dallas in the Community provides information on the FC Dallas Foundation and Community Relations recent and upcoming activities.
CASINO NIGHT
The FC Dallas Foundation hosted its third annual Casino Night on Oct. 4 in the Verizon Wireless Club at Pizza Hut Park. Over 250 people in attendance enjoyed playing traditional casino games such as craps, roulette, blackjack and Texas Hold 'Em alongside FC Dallas players and coaches while contributing to a great cause. The Foundation raised $19,000 on the night, the most in the history of the event.
DALLAS ZOO AT PIZZA HUT PARK
To celebrate World Animal Day, the FC Dallas Foundation will welcome the Dallas Zoo to Pizza Hut Park prior to the FCD vs. Toronto FC match this Saturday, Oct. 11. Stop by the Gold parking lot from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to check out snakes, lizards and other creatures from the Dallas Zoo. Artifacts, skulls and games such as "Feces of the Species" will also be featured.
KICKS FOR KIDS HALLOWEEN PARTY
Community organizations including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dallas, CASA Collin County and Mosaic Family Services will join FC Dallas players at the Owens Spring Creek Farm for the 2008 Kicks for Kids Halloween Party Thursday, Oct. 23 (4-6 p.m.). Children will have the opportunity to pick out a pumpkin with the help of a player and take hayrides with the FCD mascot, Tex Hooper. Kids will also participate in a pumpkin painting contest, costume contest, and much more.
