The Houston Dynamo, in conjunction with Trees For Houston and H-E-B, will hold a tree-planting ceremony on Monday, November 10, at J.P. Henderson Elementary School, it was announced Friday.
The school, located near the proposed site for the Dynamo's downtown stadium, will host the event from noon-3 p.m. Dynamo players Corey Ashe, Bobby Boswell, Kyle Brown, Geoff Cameron, and Patrick Ianni will be available to the media from 1-2 p.m. as part of the planting.
The Dynamo and H-E-B, in conjunction with Trees For Houston, will plant 20 trees, 15 gallons each, to help the area around the school. The planting stems from the team's August 16 game, when the Dynamo and H-E-b gave away 5,000 reusable grocery bags and devoted the night to promoting environmentally friendly initiatives.
