DOMINO'S OLIVE ON THE PIZZA SWEEPSTAKES (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia (excluding where otherwise prohibited by law, rule or regulation), who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of Anschutz D.C. Soccer, LLC (the "Sponsor"), Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc., Major League Soccer, LLC ("MLS"), D.C. United (collectively, the "MLS Entities"), RKF Stadium, the SOE Entities (defined below) and each of their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate. Online entrants to the Sweepstakes will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from dcunited.com; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant's consent to receive such e-mails. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
HOW TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes begins at 6:00 P.M. Eastern Time ("ET") on September 20, 2004 and ends at 5:00 p.m. ET on October 13, 2004 ("Entry Period"). There is one way to enter: online. No other method of entry will be accepted. Limit one entry per person.
- Online Method: During the Entry Period go to http://www.dcunited.com and click on the banners, buttons and/or links to launch the pop-up online entry form for the OLIVE ON THE PIZZA SWEEPSTAKES. By submitting your complete name, date of birth, address, city, state, ZIP/postal code, telephone number, and e-mail address to SOE (defined below) via the online entry form, you will be automatically entered in the Sweepstakes. All information submitted by entrants is subject to MLSnet.com's Privacy Policy accessible at: http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/about/privacy.jsp. Entrants must complete all non-optional data requested on the online entry form. Incomplete entries are void.
SELECTION OF WINNER: Selection of a Winner will occur in 2 phases.
Phase One: Ten finalists ("Finalists") and five alternates ("Alternates") will be selected by random drawing on or about October 14, 2004 from all eligible entries received by the Sponsor or SOE, as applicable. The decisions of Sponsor, including the selection of finalists and alternate finalists, are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Phase Two: Finalists, Alternates, and one guest per each Finalist and Alternate will be invited to the D.C. United v. MetroStars match on Sunday, October 17, 2004 to be held at RFK Stadium located at 2400 East Capitol Street, S.E., Washington, D.C. All Finalists and Alternates shall be responsible for any expenses related to travel to and from RFK Stadium. During a pre-game reception, Sponsor will hold a random drawing among the Finalists to select one (1) Grand Prize Winner ("Grand Prize Winner"). The remaining nine (9) Finalists will be considered runners up ("Runners Up").
In addition to winning the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize Winner will also receive one opportunity to compete in a skill competition during half-time at the October 17th D.C. United v. MetroStars game for a $100,000 cash prize ("Cash Prize").
In the event the Grand Prize Winner does not successfully complete the skill competition and win the Cash Prize, two (2) additional finalists will be selected at random from among the remaining nine (9) Finalists ("Additional Cash Prize Finalists") and will have an opportunity to compete for the Cash Prize during half-time at the October 17th D.C. United v. MetroStars game. Additional Cash Prize Finalists will have an opportunity to compete in order of their selection. Only one (1) Cash Prize will be awarded to the first Additional Cash Prize Finalist to successfully complete the skill competition. Only Grand Prize Winner and Additional Cash Prize Finalists may compete in the skill competition. No other person may participate on his/her behalf. Official rules for skill competiton, Contestant Agreement to Participate, and Waiver will be distributed to participants prior to half-time. Grand prize Winner and Additional Cash Prize Finalists must execute a Contestant Agreement to Participate and Waiver in order to participate in the skills competition. Refusal or non-return of Contestant Agreement to Participate and Waiver will result in disqualification.
In the event, any Finalist fails to attend the D.C. United v. MetroStars match on October 17, or is disqualified for any reason, an Alternate finalist will be selected at random.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize and Nine (9) Runner Up Prizes Will Be Awarded.
There will also be an opportunity for Grand Prize Winner to win one (1) $100,000 Cash Prize. In the event that Grand Prize Winner does not win Cash Prize, there will be an opportunity for Additional Cash Prize Finalists to win Cash Prize.
One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a three (3) days and two (2) nights (depart Saturday November 13, returning Monday, November 15) trip for Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest to attend the MLS Cup 2004 to be held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California on November 14, 2004 (the "Prize"). Prize includes (i) round-trip coach-class air transportation from the US major airport nearest winner's residence (provided such residence is in District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia); (ii) double occupancy standard hotel accommodations for two (2) at Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion; (iii) two (2) tickets to the MLS Cup 2004 and (iv) an opportunity to kick for the Cash Prize. Estimated Retail Value of the Grand Prize is $3,400.00. Travel arrangements, including airlines and flight times, to be determined by Sponsor in Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion. Grand Prize Winner and guest must travel together and on same itinerary. Grand Prize Winner and Guest are responsible for any and all other expenses not specifically mentioned, including, but not limited to, transportation to and from airport, hotel and event destination, trip cancellation insurance, flight insurance, meals and expenditures of a personal nature. Sponsor shall not be responsible for travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, natural disaster, labor disputes or weather. Trip must be taken on dates and times determined by Sponsor, or the Sweepstakes will be voided.
Nine (9) Runner Up Prizes will be awarded to the remaining Finalists and shall consist of Domino's Pizza certificates, a D.C. United Gift Pack and D.C. United game tickets: Estimated Retail Value of Each Runner Up Prize: $100.
Collectively, the Grand Prize Winner, Runners Up and any Cash Prize Winner, hereinafter referred to as "Winners".
All Winners are fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, international and local taxes. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to the Prize, including but not limited to lodging, transportation costs, meals, taxes (including income taxes) and gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of Winners. All Finalists' guests and Grand Prize Winner's guest must be 18 years of age or older, unless traveling with a parent or guardian.
Prizes are non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at Sponsor's sole discretion. The Sponsor, the other MLS Entities and the SOE Entities will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation of MLS games. There will be no substitutions for the Prizes except due to unavailability, in which case, a cash prize of equal value to the face value of the Prize will be awarded at the exclusive discretion of the Sponsor.
NOTIFICATION: Finalists and Alternates will be notified by telephone by the Sponsor and/or SOE. In the event that a Finalist does not respond to any such notification within two (2) hours after the first attempt to contact such potential finalist, then a disqualification will result and an Alternate shall be chosen. Grand Prize Winner will be announced on October 17, 2004 during the D.C. United v. MetroStars match. Grand Prize Winner will receive Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability, which must be completed, and returned prior to or on October 17, 2004 by both Grand Prize Winner and Grand Prize Winner's guest. A disqualification will result and an alternate winner will be randomly selected from among all remaining eligible Finalists if the Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability are not properly returned within the specified period of time. Refusal or return of Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability as non-deliverable will also result in disqualification and cause an Alternate to be chosen. Grand Prize Winner and Additional Cash Prize Finalists must complete and return both Sponsor's Waiver and Contestant Agreement To Participate in order to compete in the Cash Prize kick.
The Sponsor, the other MLS Entities, the SOE Entities and each of their respective agents and representatives are not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate transcription or loss or delay of entry or prize reply information, or any viruses transmitted to computers of participants via the Internet, or for any technical or human errors associated with the Sweepstakes. If, in the Sponsor's exclusive judgment, this promotion becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the promotion offer, cancel any method of entry, to void any entries submitted fraudulently or select Winners from all eligible entries received prior to act that compromised the promotion.
Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor, the other MLS Entities, the SOE Entities or their respective agents. Sponsor, the other MLS Entities and the SOE Entities shall have the sole right to disqualify any contestant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Sweepstakes, and to resolve all disputes in their sole discretion. Sponsor, the other MLS Entities and the SOE Entities (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize, and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. All disputes will be resolved under applicable U.S. laws in the State of California.
The Sponsor, the other MLS Entities and the SOE Entities reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor, the other MLS Entities or the SOE Entities corrupt administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may elect to identify Winners and award the prizes by way of random drawing from among all entrants who had entered the Sweepstakes at the time of such cancellations.
All online entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In case of multiple entries, only the first entry received will be considered. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a Winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry.
The "Authorized Account Holder" is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
The "SOE Entities" shall mean SportsOnEarth, L.L.C. ("SOE") and MLB Advanced Media, L.P.
