WASHINGTON, D.C. - D.C. United announced today that Todd Exley has joined the club's training staff. Exley begins his first season with the Black-and-Red as the Assistant Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist. In this capacity, he will primarily assist Brian Goodstein in evaluating and rehabilitating player injuries.
"We're happy that Todd has accepted the offer to join our training staff," said Goodstein. "His expertise in physical therapy will make him a great addition."
Exley also serves as a physical therapist at Metro Orthopedics and Sports Therapy in Silver Spring, MD. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Operations at Enhanced Physical Therapy in Frederick, MD. Exley graduated from Duquesne University in 1999 with a degree in Athletic Training and again in 2001 with a Masters in Physical Therapy, while also serving as a graduate assistant with the soccer team. A Pittsburgh native, Exley currently resides in Frederick, MD with his wife, Megan.
