COLUMBUS, Ohio - Red, White & BOOM!, the largest Independence Day celebration in the Midwest, is bringing the excitement of the Fourth of July holiday to Columbus Crew Stadium for the second annual Crew BOOM! The event will be held Friday, July 1, from 6 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Admission is free, while parking is $10 per car.
On-air hosts Shawn Ireland, Steve Cherry and Amy Donovan of 93.3 Lite FM will be on site for Crew BOOM! to MC the event and provide additional entertainment.
"Crew BOOM! offers families a convenient location for viewing the Red, White & BOOM! fireworks display, as well as a variety of entertainment options," said Mark McCullers, General Manager of the Columbus Crew.
There will be an autograph and photograph session with select Crew players and a "Crew Soccer Challenge" on the field. Live entertainment will be headlined by the Smuggling Yo-Yo's and special Crew BOOM! fireworks before and after the Red, White & BOOM! display. Inflatable games, face painting, balloon artists and a magician will also be onsite.
Red, White & BOOM! fireworks can be seen from the majority of the stadium. The NBC4 broadcast will appear live on Crew Stadium's scoreboard with the accompanying WNCI soundtrack. Food and beverage stands will be open throughout the stadium.

Red, White & BOOM! 2005 is presented by NBC4, WNCI 97.9, Pepsi and Meijer and is sponsored by more than 30 additional local, regional, and national businesses. More than 500,000 people are expected to participate in Red, White and BOOM! on July 1. The daylong event includes unique, family-oriented entertainment at Kaufman's Children's Park, the Midway, Taste of BOOM!, and Bicentennial Park.
