Chivas USA waives seven players

CARSON, Calif. - Major League Soccer team Chivas USA announced today that it has waived seven players from its 28-man roster.


Three of the players - defender Armando Begines, midfielder Héctor Cuadros and forward Isaac Romo - were youth internationals belonging to Chivas USA's 18-man senior roster, while the other four - goalkeepers Shaun Kalnasy and Javier Barragán, defender Víctor Arbeláez and forward Milton Blanco - were domestic players on the club's developmental roster.


"Chivas USA would like to thank Armando, Héctor, Isaac, Milton, Shaun, Javier and Víctor for all their contributions to the club during our inaugural season. To all of them we wish them the best of luck in the future," said Chivas USA President and Co-Owner Antonio Cué.


All seven players will be eligible for the upcoming MLS waiver draft, to be held this Wednesday, November 17. In the draft, MLS clubs will have the option of acquiring one or more waived players.
