Behind the Badge: United hopefuls

United coach Tom Soehn is still looking for new talent to join the Black-and-Red.

Approximately 25 players gathered at the Dulles SportsPlex on Tuesday morning for an invite-only tryout with United's coaching staff.

United head coach Tom Soehn, assistant coach Mark Simpson and technical director Dave Kasper were all in attendance as a group made up primarily of college players were put through drills and small-sided games. With the MLS Supplemental Draft on Thursday, United's coaches are hoping to identify a few key players to consider as potential contributors.

Tuesday's session was the first of two, as all players will be back Wednesday morning to be put through further evaluation.
