2023 MLS All-Star Game and Skills Challenge Media Guidelines

FOR ACCREDITED MEDIA MEMBERS

Once again, welcome to the 2023 MLS All-Star week.  Below you will find important guidelines related to your coverage of the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T 5G and the 2023 MLS All-Star Game. MEDIA INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO ALL-STAR SKILLS CHALLENGE AT AUDI FIELD

MEDIA ACCREDITATION

Approved media may pick up their credentials tomorrow – Tuesday, July 18 – between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET at the stadium Accreditation Center, located at the southeast corner of the stadium at 1st and T Streets.

PARKING

A limited number of media parking passes for the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge are available on a first come, first served basis at the Accreditation Center. Note that you will need to take a shuttle to the stadium from the media parking lot.  Therefore, it is highly recommended you take public transportation or a rideshare.

SHUTTLE BUSSES

5:00 p.m. ET – Event shuttles from the JW Marriott to stadium begin (approx. every half hour).

Midnight ET – Last shuttles depart stadium

MEDIA ENTRANCE AND MEDIA CENTER:

All media facilities, including the Media Entrance and Media Center, open at 5:30 p.m. ET. The media entrance is located at Gate B on the east side of the stadium. Media will not be able to access the stadium before that time.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION

Approved media may pick up their credentials tomorrow – Tuesday, July 18 – between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET, or on matchday – Wednesday, July 19 – from 5:00 p.m. to halftime at the stadium Accreditation Center, located at the southeast corner of the stadium at 1st and T Streets.

Note that you will need to take a shuttle to the stadium from the media parking lot.  Therefore, it is highly recommended you take public transportation or a rideshare.

MEDIA ENTRANCE AND MEDIA CENTER

All media facilities, including the Media Entrance and Media Center will open at 5:00 p.m. ET. The media entrance is located at Gate B on the east side of the stadium. Media will not be able to access the stadium before that time.

STADIUM MEDIA GUIDELINES (FOR BOTH EVENTS)

ACCESS

  • Upon entering the venue, all media must proceed to the Media Center to secure their seating assignments and photo vests. All media meals will be served in the Media Center. The Media Center is located at the Directors Lounge on Level 2 of the east tribune.  Please follow directional signage.

MEDIA SEATING

  • Media seating will be located in the Level 3 Press Box and the media tribunes located throughout the venue.  Please check the seating chart at the media center for your assigned seat.  Note that for the Skills Challenge, the Press Box and Media Tribunes will feature open seating.

MANDATORY BRIEFING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND TV CREWS (NON-RIGHTS)

  • Photographers/videographers are required to attend a mandatory briefing at the Media Center on Wednesday, July 19 at 6 p.m. ET.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

  • Photographers must always wear a photo vest while working inside the venue.  Vests will be issued at the Media Center.
  • Access to the field is available though the main concourse.  Details will be shared during the mandatory photo briefing.
  • Photographers may only shoot from the four designated seating areas located at the four corners of the pitch behind the field boards.
  • Photographers may NOT enter the field of play before, during or after the game under any circumstance.
  • The stadium Photo Work Room will not be in use for this match.  Photographers may use the Media Center.

ENG VIDEO CREWS (non-rights)

  • ENG videographers must always wear a teal photo vest while working inside the venue.  Bibs will be issued at the Media Center.
  • Only the shooter will have access to the pitch. Talent may not access the field at any time.
  • Access to the field is available through the main concourse
  • ENG crews may only shoot from the four designated seating areas located at the four corners of the pitch behind the field boards.
  • ENG TV crews may only record the first 15 minutes of each half of the All-Star Game.
  • ENG TV crews may not be live from inside the venue starting one hour before the start of each event, through the end of the event. All live shots inside the venue may be done from the designated position in the concourse. 

MEDIA DINING

  • Courtesy meals and beverages for the media will be available in the Media Center.

INTERNET

  • A limited number of hard lines will be available for photographers in the Media Center on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Wi-Fi will be available in the Media Center, Press Box and select other media locations.

POST-MATCH AVAILABILITIES

Skills Challenge

  • Directly after the Skills Challenge, participating players from both teams will be available at a Mixed Zone adjacent to the locker rooms.  Please follow directional signage.

MLS All-Star Game

  • There will be a news conference after the match featuring both managers and select players.  The news conference room is on Level 1 (Locker room level). Please follow directional signage.
  • The MLS All-Stars will conduct post-match media availability in their locker room 15 minutes after the final whistle.
  • Arsenal players will be available in a Mixed Zone outside their dressing room. Look for directional signage.  

NOTES:

  • Please do not post your match credential on social media.
  • Asking for autographs or personal photos is strictly prohibited.
  • Please do not wear jerseys of the participating teams.
