Tournament competition requires an enormous amount of energy. That in turn requires an exceptional amount of calories. And let's just say the culinary staff at the Swan and Dolphin Resort is noticing.


With players, coaches and other staff from every MLS team stationed in one location during the MLS is Back Tournament, ESPN FC's Austin Lindberg went inside the effort to keep them all fed and energized.


The damage? As of Monday, the 26 teams plus league officials and referees had consumed "more than 14,000 pounds of chicken, nearly 7,000 pounds of seafood and nearly 2,500 pounds of bacon," Lindberg wrote.
