2019 MLS Regular Season Week 29
Seattle Sounders FC vs. FC Dallas
CenturyLink Field – Seattle
September 18 – 10:30 PM ET

The Seattle Sounders look to hold on to second place in the Western Conference and build off an impressive win over the New York Red Bulls, while FC Dallas hope to climb above the playoff line and bounce back from 4-0 defeat at Chicago in an important midweek clash at CenturyLink Field.

The Sounders scored a pair of goals early, and late, to defeat the Red Bulls, 4-2, at CenturyLink Field Sunday afternoon. Jordan Morris and Nico Lodeiro staked the Rave Green a 2-0 lead after 23 minutes. Aaron Long pulled the visitors back a goal four minutes later and Kaku struck for the 67th-minute equalizer. An own goal by Sean Davis put the Sounders back in front in the 83rd minute and Lodeiro had his brace in second-half stoppage time to clinch a third win in the last four matches.

FC Dallas (12-11-7) are looking to bounce back from a stunning 4-0 defeat to the Chicago Fire at SeatGeek Stadium Saturday afternoon. CJ Sapong struck for a brace and Przemyslaw Frankowski and Nemanja Nikolic added a goal apiece as the hosts opened up a four-goal bulge inside the opening 40 minutes.

This is the second meeting this season between the clubs with FC Dallas winning, 2-1, at Toyota Stadium June 1. Own goals five minutes apart late in the first half by Xavier Arreaga and Brad Smith gave the hosts a two-goal halftime cushion. Raul Ruidiaz sliced the Sounders' deficit in half in the 65th minute, but an equalizer didn't materialize and FC Dallas took all three points.
