Toronto FC are looking to extend a perfect start to the 2019 season, and might have new signing Alejandro Pozuelo in the lineup when they host a New York City FC side seeking their first win of the campaign Friday night at BMO Field.
Both teams were idle in Week 4, with Toronto FC (2-0-0) coming off a 3-2 win over the New England Revolution with Jozy Altidore returning from injury to score the late winner. Alexandru Mitrita scored his first MLS goal for NYCFC in a 2-2 draw with LAFC in Week 3.
Altidore was sent off and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi struck for a brace in the last meeting between the teams at BMO Field, a 3-2 Cityzens victory in August.
