Atlanta United fans ensured that the 2018 MLS All-Star Fan XI presented by Target had a hometown feel to it, with six ATLUTD players among the top vote-getters at their respective positions. Big Sunday results for NYCFC, Portland

In Domenec Torrent's first game in charge, New York City FC fought back from a halftime deficit to post a 2-1 win over defending league champs Toronto FC at Yankee Stadium. Elsewhere, Supporters Shield leaders Atlanta United got all they could handle from visiting Portland in a 1-1 draw rescued by Julian Gressel's second half strike. The result stretched the Timbers' bulletproof run to nine league games, and 11 across all competitions. RECAP

Red Bulls, Union climb in the East

Despite losing Daniel Royer to a 27th minute red card, the New York Red Bulls carried right on and chalked up a 3-0 home win against FC Dallas. In addition to seeing the end of their four-game winning run, the Texans also reluctantly waved goodbye to left back Anton Nedyalkov, who transferred to homeland club Ludogorets due to family concerns. Sporting KC claw back to go clear

Down two near the hour mark, Sporting KC rallied for a thrilling 3-2 triumph against visiting Houston on Saturday. Goals by Daniel Salloi, Diego Rubio and Khiry Shelton authored the comeback, which pushed them three points ahead of FC Dallas at the top of the Western Conference. RECAP

Expansion darlings LAFC kept pace with the West leaders by blanking guests Columbus 2-0 behind early goals from Laurent Ciman and Adama Diomande. Rapids finally get well, Lions stay ill

Colorado scored their first victory since mid-April, rallying twice in the second half for a 3-2 decision over visiting Minnesota United on Saturday. Joe Mason bagged their second equalizer with 16 minutes left, setting the stage for Tommy Smith's stoppage time winner. RECAP

Don't look now, but Montreal have won three of four after extending Orlando City's misery with a 2-0 home defeat. While pushing the Lions' losing slide to seven games, the visitors halted their own six-match losing streak away from home. RECAP

All even in SLC, Seattle

Real Salt Lake saw their six-game home win streak evaporate as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against San Jose. Even though Danny Hoesen's 10th goal of the season earned the Earthquakes a point, they still dropped into the West basement. RECAP

Over in Seattle, the Sounders battled Chicago to a 1-1 share on Saturday night. In-form Fire man Aleksandar Katai opened the scoring 10 minutes into the proceedings, but Clint Dempsey leveled midway through the opening frame with his first goal of the season. RECAP

Transfer talk: Baines, Lopez

According to English tabloid The Mirror, Chicago and Philadelphia are ready to pounce if Everton left back Leighton Baines leaves Goodison Park this summer. The 33-year-old has a year left on his Toffees deal, but could end up part of the roster reboot planned by new manager director Marcel Brands. READ MORE

Over the weekend, NYCFC defender Alexander Callens became the third member of his team to receive his US Green Card this year, joining Maxime Chanot and Alexander Ring.
