2018 MLS SuperDraft includes annual head coaches' group photo

2018 MLS SuperDraft - head coaches group photo

If you have followed MLS for some time, you probably know one of the small yet notable annual traditions of the MLS SuperDraft is the group photo taken with all of the head coaches in attendance before the draft itself gets underway.

Of course, it was back on Friday in the 2018 edition of the SuperDraft, as the managers from around the league lined up in team photo formation, with their team scarves on.

There were new faces, including Portland Timbers' Gio Savarese, Colorado Rapids' Anthony Hudson, Montreal Impact's Remi Garde, New England Revolution's Brad Friedel, and San Jose Earthquakes' Mikael Stahre:

Some familiar faces in new locations were present, too, including Bob Bradley for LAFC and Dominic Kinnear, the LA Galaxy assistant coach who stepped in for head coach Sigi Schmid, unable to attend due to illness:

One manager, Atlanta United's Gerardo "Tata" Martino, was not present for the group photo.

There was also plenty of chatter before and after the photo op, as you can see from New England Revolution head coach Brad Friedel speaking to some new colleagues:

And just in case you were wondering, there were no "silly face" outtakes with this group.
