Orlando City SC promised major changes this offseason, and they’re reportedly close to nailing down one new addition.
Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen reported on Sunday that Orlando have made an offer to Norwegian forward/winger Jo Inge Berget.
The 27-year-old has spent the last three years with Swedish club Malmo FF, but is out of contract this winter. He has nine goals and two assists in 24 league appearances for the club this year and three goals and four assists in 17 career UEFA Champions League matches with Malmo. He has two goals in 19 appearances with the Norway’s senior national team.
Orlando finished 10th in the Eastern Conference in 2017. The club will have at least one Designated Player spot open this winter following the departure of Kaká.
