The defending Liga MX Under-20 champions, Chivas U-20’s roster is highlighted by a trio of players who participated in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in defenders Diego Cortés and Juan Aguayo, and midfielder Kevin Magaña, who scored Mexico’s first goal of the tournament. Both Cortés and Magaña also played for Mexico’s fourth-place team at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, each scoring two goals in the tournament.

Goalkeeper Antonio Torres and midfielder Erich Hernandez also competed for Mexico in the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates, while midfielder Rubén Domínguez will make his second appearance in the MLS Homegrown Game after participating in 2016 as a member of Mexico’s U-20 National Team. In addition, six players born in 1996 were included on the roster.

MLS Homegrown Team coaches Brian McBride and Mike Magee named a talented 18-man roster earlier this month, highlighted by United States Men’s National Team goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez (FC Dallas), Canada Men’s National Team midfielder Alphonso Davies (Vancouver Whitecaps FC) and five players who represented the U.S. at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The entire Homegrown Team roster can be found HERE.
