Could Didier Drogba's reign as the Etihad Airways Player of the Month be coming to an end?
Portland Timbers forward Fanendo Adi currently leads Drogba by just less than four percent in the vote for October's award as of Tuesday afternoon. Adi currently has claimed 35.62 percent of the vote while the Montreal Impact forward, who was September's clear winner, has 31.97 percent.
The rest of the pack is far behind. Columbus Crew SC winger Ethan FInlay has 12.51 percent, Sacha Kljestan of the New York Red Bulls is next with 10 percent, and FC Dallas' Mauro Diaz rounds out the top five at 9.9 percent.
While it is a two-horse race right now, there is still time to have a say in who comes out on top. Voting remains open until Wednesday at 2 pm ET.
