With four MLS Cup trophies, three US Open Cups, four Supporters' Shields and a CONCACAF Champions Cup,
winning is part and parcel of DC United's history
.

And now it's part of their shirt, too.

The club on Sunday released their new-look 2015 secondary jersey at a private season ticket holder event held at an establishment in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC and what immediately stands out is the red pattern across the chest and the sharp black-and-white variation of the team's crest.

But a peek at the neck tape reveals one of the other distinguishing characteristics of the shirt: The words from the popular DC United supporter chant: "Vamos United Esta Noche Tenemos Que Ganar" (Let's Go United Tonight We Have To Win).

It's a song that has been sung at RFK Stadium for as long as anyone can remember. And we're talking about a club that's been around from the beginning, since 1996, a fact highlighted by the "Founding Team" transfer under the crest on the inside of the jersey.

Another subtle detail that supporters will probably enjoy is the DC United eagle on the back neck taken straight from the DC crest (see above).

The club will hope to add to their winning traditions in the CONCACAF Champions League when they kick off their quarterfinal series against Costa Rican powers Alajuelense on February 26 and March 4 in the first competitive action of the new year. The Black-and-Red kick off their 2015 league campaign at home against the Montreal Impact on March 7 (3 pm ET, RDS).
