World Cup: US national team forward Jozy Altidore ruled out of Sunday Group G match vs. Portugal

If the US national team are going to beat Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal on Sunday, they're going to have to do it without star striker Jozy Altidore.

The US Soccer Federation confirmed on Thursday that the New York Red Bulls academy product has been ruled out of the USA's next Group G match due to the left hamstring strain which forced him out of Monday's match against Ghana in the 23rd minute.

The USSF declined to reveal the grade of the strain.

What should the US do with Altidore officially out of the picture? Start Aron Johannsson or perhaps San Jose Earthquakes captain Chris Wondolowski? Or should Seattle Sounders star Clint Dempsey be up top all alone in front of a five-man midfield? Let us know your thoughts below.
