On the back of Jermain Defoe's two-goal effort, Toronto FC pulled out another win over Columbus after they were down late. Defoe's 81st-minute goal tied the game up while Doneil Henry's goal in stoppage time handed the Reds the 3-2 win.
Up in Cascadia, there were two star turns by two different playmakers. In Seattle, Marco Pappa got his first goal of the season off of a beautiful free kick. It looks as if the Guatemalan has found his form after a rough start to the season. South of Seattle, Pedro Morales put on a show against the Portland Timbers. The Chilean playmaker took 10 shots, converting two penalty kicks, and created five other chances in the Whitecaps' 4-3 win over Portland.
