The Montreal Impact may have a brand new 2014 home jersey, but the themes behind the shirt remain the same.
The club revealed the new kit at a supporters event at Olympia Theatre in Montreal on Tuesday night and it was fitting given the supporters were also represented in the new design.
The Ultras Montréal supporters club motto of "Toujours Fidèles" (Always Faithful) is found on the inside of the neck tape of the new jersey. On the outside of the neck tape is the team slogan, “Tous Pour Gagner” (All together to win).
But the main characteristics of the new jersey are still the tributes to Montreal and Quebec culture: the blue jersey color, the metallic 3-D fleur-de-lys on the lower jock tag and the off-center cross in the background which references the iconic Croix du Mont-Royal. The cross, made up of numerous smaller fleur-de-lys symbols, is centered on the club logo.

Every MLS team is unveiling new jerseys as part of 2014 Jersey Week, which is being held from March 3-7 in the lead-up to the start of the new season on Saturday, March 8.
