The Playback: Relive Zakuani's emotional return vs. Rapids

The Playback: Relive the most exciting match from Week 18

What was this weekend's best match?

It was the moment Steve Zakuani has been waiting for after more than a year slogging through surgery, rehab and, finally, a return to the training field. In front of 39,060 Sounders fans, Zakuani made his first MLS appearance since a Brian Mullan tackle broke his leg, providing an emotional conclusion to a victory that ended Seattle's nine-game winless streak.

Fittingly, Mullan was on the field for the Rapids, and the two players came together after the final whistle to tie up the loose ends that remained after becoming the main protagonists in what has become a high-profile moment in MLS history.

Before that, though, Seattle jumped out to a two-goal lead through Alvaro Fernandez and Eddie Johnson, only for Omar Cummings to pull one back and put some pressure on the recently unlucky home side. In the end, the Sounders pulled it out, collected the three points and welcomed one of their own back into the fold after a long layoff.

All that was more than enough to convince the MLSsoccer.com editors to vote the Sounders' win the most entertaining game of Week 18. Do you agree? Check out the extended highlights below, and let us know in the poll to the right.
