Gaddis suspended one game for challenge on Espinoza

NEW YORK – The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee on Thursday suspended Philadelphia Union defender Raymon Gaddis for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for his reckless challenge that endangered the safety of his opponent, Sporting Kansas City midfielder Roger Espinoza.


Gaddis’ action occurred in the 24th minute of the June 23 match between the clubs. Gaddis will serve his suspension this Saturday when Union travel to play Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Fines collected will be donated to the charitable partners of MLS W.O.R.K.S. and the MLS Players Union.
