Jesús Ruiz gave El Tri the early lead, burying his chance in the 12th minute. However, D.C. United Academy product Jalen Robinson tied things up for the US during first-half stoppage time off a cross from Chicago Fire Home Grown midfielder Victor Pineda.

The result put the US in third place in the group stage, behind Denmark and hosts Northern Ireland. The three teams finished tied with four points apiece, but Denmark and Northern Ireland advanced on goal differential.

The US will play Georgia in the consolation match on Friday.
