101 -- than any other MLS goalkeeper, helping the Galaxy to the 2002 MLS Cup title and into the 1999 and 2001 finals. Hartman was selected by the Galaxy on the 29th overall (third round) and second to last pick in the 1997 college draft. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Hartman has made one appearance for the U.S. national team and was MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 1999. Through last week's action, the 31-year-old Hartman has a 1.17 GAA and a 8-6-4 record and five shutouts. Lifetime, he has an MLS-best 1.16 and 52 shutouts.


Nick Rimando, D.C. United

Drafted by the Miami Fusion in 2000, the 26-year-old Rimando tended goal for D.C. United in its 3-2 victory against the Kansas City Wizards in the 2004 MLS Cup. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound goalkeeper earned his first U.S. cap in a 2-0 win against El Salvador in November 2001 and was a member of the U.S. U-17, U-18 and U-20 national teams. He is 7-5-4 and a 1.19 GAA and seven shutouts this year. Lifetime, Rimando has a 1.33 GAA with 32 shutouts.


Matt Reis, New England Revolution

Reis, 30, will start in goal for MLS when it meets Fulham of the English Premiership in the MLS All-Star game in Columbus on July 30. After five seasons in Los Angeles, he was traded to the Revs for Alex Pineda Chacon and a condition draft pick before the 2003 season. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound Reis took over the starting role last season. His most notable performance came in the first round of the 2004 playoffs, stopping two Columbus Crew penalty kicks in regulation to secure New England's advancement to the Eastern Conference Finals. He leads the league with a 1.00 GAA, a 10-2-5 record and seven shutouts. Lifetime, Reis is 35-25-20 with a 1.33 GAA and 19 shutouts.


D.J. Countess, Real Salt Lake

He has been around since the end of the 2001 season, and Countess already has been with four teams -- MetroStars (who won him in a weighted lottery), Dallas Burn, Chicago Fire and now RSL. The youngest of all the Bruins 'keepers (23) in the pros, the 6-foot-1, 183-pound Countess played with the U.S. U-20 and U-23 teams. His most notable accomplishment was stopping an MLS record four penalties in 2003, including two in the Burn's scoreless tie at the MetroStars on Oct. 11. He is 2-11-4 with a 2.01 GAA and three shutouts this season. Lifetime, Countess has a 1.96 GAA and five shutouts.


Zach Wells, MetroStars

After serving as a backup to Jonny Walker last season, Wells has played every game in his second season. His most notable performance was a 14-save effort in a scoreless tie with United on June 12, falling one short of tying the all-time MLS save record. The 24-year-old Wells also backstopped UCLA's NCAA Division I championship team in 2002. The 6-foot-2, 187-pound Wells has a 1.24 GAA and is 6-4-7 with four shutouts. Lifetime, he has a 1.32 GAA with four shutouts.
