SAN JOSE - The San Jose Earthquakes acquired a 2006 first round Supplemental Draft selection today from D.C. United in exchange for the Quakes current waiver selection. In addition, San Jose will swap waiver draft positions with United for the remainder of the 2005 season.
The Quakes previously had the first selection in the waiver draft based on having the lowest points per game in 2005 among the teams who had not selected a player off waivers in 2005.</p>
