Gaven: We want to beat Columbus

Hey guys! I, yet again, had a really busy week. First we had our game against D.C. on Saturday, then I was called up to the national team camp and now am back with the Metros prepping for Saturday's game. It really has been crazy, but also exciting.

Last Saturday's game did not go as well as we would have liked. There were definitely a lot of fouls in the game. That's what you should have in a game like that. It is definitely a big rivalry. It was just a little tough after they scored that goal. They brought their whole team back, which made it tough for us to break through. It was definitely a frustrating night.

Getting called into the national team camp again was great. Camp is always fun and a great experience. The training is the best and the games we play are at a faster pace. It's definitely hard, but it's always great playing with the best players from this country. I got to play with Tony Sanneh on this trip, which is cool. I am getting to know the guys a little better because this is like my fourth camp, which is good.

Saturday's match is a big game for us. Even though we cannot clinch first place, I think it's important for us to have a streak going into the playoffs. We would also like to beat Columbus because they are riding a 16-game unbeaten streak. If we can maybe knock them off a bit before the playoffs, it will be better for us in the long run.

Also, we have this really cool thing going on for the playoffs. We all are wearing "Unity" bands, which give us a chance to come together with the fans and also as a team. It something the team and MetroStars organization decided on together, which is awesome.

Well guys, that's all the time I have for this week. Hopefully we'll have great results for you tomorrow!

Take care and God bless,
