its charitable organization -- a total of approximately 8,000 tickets to distribute. The tickets will be donated to several local youth organizations throughout the Chicagoland. Organizations such as Christopher House, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Chicago Scores, Big Brothers Big Sisters and more have all benefited from "Kids Night Out."
"The Fire and the FireWorks for Kids Foundation are fortunate to count on friends and sponsors for such a worthwhile cause, and we're very excited to know that so many responded positively to our 'Kids Night Out' program," said Fire Community Relations Director Donald Ortale. "This event will bring to kids - most of whom have never experienced a soccer game - a priceless experience that makes all of our work worthwhile."
The Chicago Fire was founded on October 8, 1997 as a Major League Soccer expansion team. In 2003 the Fire was crowned the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Champion for the third time in club history, while also capturing the Eastern Conference title and its first MLS Supporters Shield. The Fire won the MLS Cup in its inaugural season in 1998 and its first two U.S. Open Cup titles in 1998 and 2000. It was crowned Central Division Champion in 2000 and 2001.
