Barrett: It's 2,000 miles to Chicago

along with E-Rob and Orlando -- to work on the daily crossword, and the rest of us to stare into space, watch movies, or read books or magazines with pictures of ... cool stuff.

The groups aren't clearly defined; there is some crossover. If Ronald's bullish poker style isn't meeting with much success, he may leave his money in Julian or Wes or J-Co's pocket -- momentarily of course -- while he checks out a movie. Ricardo sometimes takes a moment away from his MP3 player to buy a teammate some coffee because he made an ill-advised bet that it only took 3 hours to fly from San Jose to Chicago. Man that coffee tasted good.

Anyway, I guess the point is that although I did enjoy driving by the Lego factory and Hans Christian Andersen's house every weekend, it is nice to be back racking up the frequent flier miles even if it means paying for a few books, using up a few bics (ballpoint pens: three down), or anteing in a few bucks.

Gatorade of course,
