Tanner Tessmann
HOW ACQUIRED: Signed as a Homegrown player on February 27, 2020.
A physically-gifted midfielder, Tessmann was recruited to the wildly successful Clemson football program as a kicker but ultimately opted to go pro in soccer with FC Dallas. He will be a depth piece for Luchi Gonzalez and his squad in his rookie year.
INTERNATIONAL: Earned a call-up to the US Under-20 men's national team in September 2019. He is eligible to represent the US in the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
YOUTH: Tessmann joined the FC Dallas academy in 2016 and has scored 25 goals in 67 appearances in U.S. Soccer Development Academy play. He won the U18/U19 Golden Ball after helping lead FCD to the Academy Championship at that age level.
