HOW ACQUIRED: Signed a pre-contract with Philadelphia Union on August 19, 2020, that became effective on January 1, 2021

The younger brother of standout Brenden, who was sold to Red Bull Salzburg, Paxten, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder, has impressed the technical staff with his ability to play the final pass, his soccer IQ and his work ethic. 

OUTSIDE MLS: Aaronson made 14 appearances (10 starts) for Philadelphia Union II in 2020, scoring a goal and adding an assist in 923 minutes. Aaronson made his debut with Philadelphia Union II on July 23, 2020 again New York Red Bulls II. He earned his first start when the club faced NYRB II once again that ended in a 3-2 win for Union II (Aug. 5). He scored his first professional USL goal when he came on as a substitute in a match vs. Atlanta United 2 (Sept. 3) and four matches later, he registered his first USL assist in a 4-0 victory over Loudoun United (Sept. 17). 
Aaronson spent five years for the Philadelphia Union academy and played with the Academy’s U13/14, U14, U15, U16/17 and U18/19 squads. Over the course of his time with the academy, he made 77 appearances, 54 starts and scored 15 goals.

INTERNATIONAL: Aaronson received an invitation to the United States Under-16 talent identification training camp in Chula Vista, CA in 2019.
