HOW ACQUIRED: Traded from the Portland Timbers in exchange for $300,000 General Allocation Money on Dec. 13, 2020

Farfan, the Portland Timbers' youngest signing ever, joined the club in 2017 after playing for T2 as an academy player in 2016. A natural left back, he'll provide competition and cover for LAFC's regular starter Diego Palacios. He also made three starts at right back in 2020 for Portland, giving LAFC boss Bob Bradley another versatile option.

OUTSIDE MLS: Made 15 appearances for Portland’s USL affiliate, T2, during the 2019 USL season.

INTERNATIONAL: Was called in by the U.S. U-23 Men’s National Team for a domestic training camp from June 9-16 in Herriman, Utah. He recorded 25 minutes off the bench for the U.S. U-23 Men’s National Team in a 0-0 draw against the Netherlands on March 24 after starting and playing 45 minutes against Egypt on March 22. Earned his first call-up to the U-19 U.S. Men’s National Team on Sept. 30, 2016 for a domestic training camp in Chula Vista, Calif.
