HOW ACQUIRED: Signed by Sporting KC as a Homegrown Player on August 25, 2017.
At 15 year and 89 days, Busio became the second-youngest player to ever sign with MLS at the time he agreed on a Homegrown deal with Sporting. He's impressed as a No. 10, but may have found his niche as a No. 6 where he's put his speed and distribution to good use.
INTERNATIONAL: Was called into US U-17 camp and scored in a 1-1 draw against Brazil in the 2018 International Friendlies tournament in December. Guided the US to a second-place finish at the Concacaf U-15 Championship in Bradenton, Florida, scoring a team-high five goals in five matches. He previously represented the US U-15s at the Torneo Delle Nazioni in Italy, where he scored three goals as the Americans were crowned tournament champions.
