Career Summary

Previous Experience

Erik Sorga began his youth career with FC Flora Talinn in the Estonian first tier. Sorga played for FC Flora’s U-19 and U-21 teams before making the jump to the senior squad.  While playing for the U-21 team in the second division of Estonia, Sorga showed a real eye for goal. The forward scored 47 goals and recorded four assists in 61 appearances for the U-21 team.  The Estonian made his debut for FC Flora’s senior team as a substitute during a 4-0 victory over Rakvere Tarvas on Sept. 23, 2016. The 20-year-old scored his first goal for the senior side during a 7-0 victory on May 5, 2017.  On April 21, 2018, Sorga recorded his first multi-goal game in just 25 minutes of action. Sorga finished his career with FC Flora with two league titles, 41 goals and four assists in 71 appearances (36 starts).

International Experience

Sorga represented the Estonian youth national team beginning at the U-16 level.  On June 8, 2019 Sorga came off the bench during a 2-1 defeat against Northern Ireland to make his senior debut.  In his next match for Estonia, Sorga was handed his full debut and scored his first national team goal against Belarus on Sept. 16, 2019.  Sorga has now made six appearances in all competitions for Estonia since his debut, recording one goal.
