INTERNATIONAL: Terán has featured for Colombia’s U-20 and U-23 sides in major tournaments. In 2019, Terán was named to Colombia’s final roster for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland. The defender made an appearance in the group stage, featuring in Colombia’s 2-0 win over Poland on May 23, 2019. Additionally, Terán has made two appearances for Colombia’s U-23 team in 2020, recording starts in the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament. The defender started against Argentina’s U-23 side on Jan. 19 and played the full 90 minutes against Uruguay’s U-23 team on Feb. 10.
OUTSIDE MLS: Since making his professional debut as an 18-year-old on Jan. 30, 2019, Terán has made 17 appearances (16 starts) in Colombia’s top-flight from 2019-20. Additionally, the defender has made three appearances (three starts) in the Copa Colombia tournament during that stretch.
