Weekly Update: Texas Two-Step, Part 2

RSL travels to Pizza Hit Park to battle FC Dallas this Saturday.

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake Continues "Texas Two-Step" Saturday at FC Dallas
Real Salt Lake (9-10-7, 34 pts.) will continue its "Texas Two-Step" road trip with the hopes of improving its positioning for a postseason berth this Saturday, Sept. 26, when the Claret-and-Cobalt will return to the Lone Star State to square off against FC Dallas (7-12-6, 27 pts.). Kickoff for RSL's lone visit to Pizza Hut Park in north suburban Frisco this season is set for 6:30 p.m. MT, with broadcast coverage on KUTV 2.2 Digital / Comcast 111 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with the America First Credit Union Pre-Match Report. Fans can also follow the action live over the radio airwaves on KNRS 570-AM (coverage beginning with the America First Credit Union Pre-Match Report at 5:30 p.m.) and "Ke Buena" 1600-AM.

The two sides' only other meeting this season was back on July 24 at Rio Tinto Stadium, when Real Salt Lake went down two goals in the opening 25 minutes, only to put up four unanswered after the halftime break to post a 4-2 victory over the "Hoops." That triumph pushed RSL's all-time record season record against FC Dallas to 5-9-1, but the Utah side remains in search of its first away points in the series after going 0-6-0 in its previous match-ups at Pizza Hut Park and the Cotton Bowl. Real Salt Lake nearly got a point-bearing result in its last visit to Frisco on May 24, 2008, but Fabian Espindola's 69th minute goal was countered by a Dominic Oduro brace in the final 10 minutes of play, leading to a 2-1 FC Dallas win.

Yura Movsisyan's Strike at Houston Up for MLS Goal of the Week Award

Real Salt Lake FW Yura Movsisyan's return to the scoring column in Saturday's defeat at Houston is one of seven nominees on a crowded ballot for the MLS Goal of the Week award for Week 27. Movsisyan put his name on the scoresheet right at the hour mark, when he collected FW Pablo Campos' flick-on header inside the area before cutting back to his left foot and unleashing a low shot from 15 yards out that snuck past Dynamo 'keeper Pat Onstad and tucked just inside the far left post, bringing a 10-man RSL side even at 2-2 at the time. To vote for Movsisyan's tally, head on over to MLSnet.com by 12:00 p.m. MT on Wednesday and click on the Goal of the Week link.

Nick Rimando's Reaction Stop Nominated for MLS Save of the Week

Real Salt Lake netminder Nick Rimando has been nominated for the MLS Save of the Week honor for a second consecutive week, this time for thwarting a clever effort by Houston Dynamo striker Luis Angel Landin in Saturday's 2-3 defeat at Robertson Stadium. With RSL down 2-1 in the 49th minute, Landin looked poised to double Houston's lead when he flashed across the top of the six and flicked the ball with the outside of his right foot, but Rimando was on the spot, diving low to his right to knock the ball away from the corner of his goal. To vote for Rimando, visit MLSnet.com and click on the "Save of the Week" tab before the polls close Thursday at noon.
