HOUSTON, TX - Houston Dynamo continued their offensive setbacks as the team picked up their 3rd tie of the season on Saturday against the New York Red Bulls at Giants' Stadium. The Dynamo, carried behind Clark's equalizing goal in the 19th minute, now sit six points behind the Western Conference leaders, FC Dallas.
The New York Red Bulls greeted the Dynamo to Giants Stadium on Saturday with a quick Jean Philippe Peguero goal in the 2nd minute to put the home team ahead early. Even though Houston was caught off guard, the Dynamo fought back and was able to regain their composure while testing Red Bull goalie, Tony Meola. The Dynamo found their opportunity in the 19th minute, as Ricardo Clark recorded his 2nd goal of the season, from a 35-yard shot, to tie the match which ended 1-1.
With the recent tie, the Dynamo pushed their current unbeaten streak to three, with only one loss to the Chicago Fire, in the last eight matches. The Dynamo is now ready to take on Real Salt Lake for the second time this season on Saturday, June 17, at 7:30 PM (CT), at Robertson Stadium.
