METROSTARS COME TO CARSON TO MEET THE GALAXY ON SATURDAY: The Los Angeles Galaxy and the MetroStars will meet for the first time of the 2005 season when the Eastern Conference side makes the cross country trip to Carson and The Home Depot Center on the campus of Cal State University, Dominguez Hills for a match this Saturday, June 4 at 7 pm (PT). The game, the first between the teams since a 3-0 MetroStars victory on August 8, 2004 at Giants Stadium, will be televised throughout the Southland on FSN West 2 and broadcast to radio listeners in Spanish on KMXE (830 am).

YEAR OF THE UNIFORM CONTINUES SATURDAY NIGHT: The Galaxy are proud to announce that the Year of the Uniform will continue when the club faces the MetroStars at The Home Depot Center. For as little as $88, a family of four will receive four tickets to that night's match and two vouchers redeemable for Galaxy youth replica shorts at the game. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call the Galaxy toll-free at 1-877-3-GALAXY.

GALAXY HOST J-LEAGUE SIDE YOKOHAMA F. MARINOS ON JUNE 8: The Los Angeles Galaxy will play host to two-time defending J-League champions Yokohama F. Marinos in the 2005 Yokohama World Challenge, presented by MLJ, on Wednesday, June 8 at 7:30 pm at The Home Depot Center. Marinos joined the J-League in 1991 and have been the most successful team in Japan's first division since 2003. They won both stages of that country's national championship that season and won the overall championship in 2004. Though the match is the first between the two clubs, it will not be for the first for the Galaxy against a Japanese first-division side. In the 2001 preseason, the MLS side faced both Tokyo Verdy 1969 and Urawa Reds, dropping each of those matches by a one-goal margin in a tour of Japan. Galaxy season ticket holders will be able to use Bonus Game A in their ticket books for the match, while those interested in purchasing tickets should call the Galaxy ticket office toll-free at 1-877-3-GALAXY.

DONOVAN, JONES, RAMIREZ AND UMAÑA ALL WITH NATIONAL TEAMS FOR QUALIFIERS: As expected, several Los Angeles Galaxy players have been called into their respective national teams for the next two match days of CONCACAF qualifying to FIFA World Cup Germany 2006. Landon Donovan and Cobi Jones have received the call from U.S. manager Bruce Arena for matches June 4 against Costa Rica in Salt Lake City and June 8 at Panama City. Pando Ramirez has reported to Guatemala's side for a home match against Mexico on the 4th and one at Costa Rica on the 8th, while Michael Umaña will join the ticos for the match in Salt Lake during the first set of matches and continue with them as they host Guatemala in San José for the second. In addition, Tyrone Marshall will play for Jamaica Saturday in a friendly against Honduras Saturday in Atlanta.

SECOND EDITION OF HONDA SUPERCLASICO GOES TO THE GALAXY: For the second time, the Los Angeles Galaxy got the better of their stadium mates, late goals from Pablo Chinchilla and Peter Vagenas giving them a 2-0 victory against Chivas USA at The Home Depot Center on May 28. The victory marked the first time this season the Galaxy have taken points in an away match, as Chivas USA were the home team. But the stadium was filled with supporters from both sides, though the teams are on opposite ends of the Western Conference table.

GALAXY RESERVES POST FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN: The Los Angeles Galaxy reserves defeated CD Chivas USA reserves 2-1, to remain undefeated in Reserve League play at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. Los Angeles earned the victory on goals from Ned Grabavoy and Mamba Chisoni, while Chivas' lone goal came from Matt Taylor.

GALAXY TO CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE NIGHT ON JUNE 11: The Galaxy will continue their tradition of honoring the Hispanic individuals who have made the club so successful over the past ten years when they host Budweiser Hispanic Heritage Night at The Home Depot Center. In addition to the game that night against Real Salt Lake, there will be several Hispanic food delicacies for purchase and some pre-game entertainment, with more details available in the coming days. For more information, contact the Galaxy directly at 1-877-3GALAXY.

AUGUST 27 GAME AT SAN JOSE MOVED TO 8 PM: Please note that the Galaxy's Saturday, August 27 match at San Jose has been moved to an 8 pm (PT) start (originally at 7 pm). The game will be televised live on ESPN2.
