Elliott, All Whites Learn World Cup Draw
San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Simon Elliott and his New Zealand teammates have been placed in Group F of the 2010 World Cup and will face defending World Cup Champion Italy, Paraguay and Slovakia. The All-Whites open the 2010 World Cup on Tuesday, June 15 in Rustenburg against Slovakia. Their second match will be on Sunday, June 20 in Nelspruit against the defending champion Italy. New Zealand concludes their group stage against Paraguay on Thursday, June 24. New Zealand has not been in the World Cup since 1982. Their qualification marks the first time an Earthquakes player will be represented in the world's showcase for soccer since Landon Donovan and Jeff Agoos represented the United States in the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. The only other San Jose player to have appeared in a World Cup while playing for the Earthquakes was American Eric Wynalda, who participated in the 1998 World Cup in France.
United States Draws England in 2010 World Cup
The United States will open the 2010 World Cup in South Africa one of the more highly anticipated group stage fixtures against England on Saturday, June 12. They will also face off against Slovenia on Friday, June 18 and Algeria on Wednesday, June 23 to close out the opening round.
Quakes to Take Part in Holiday Heroes SF
The San Jose Earthquakes will participate in the San Francisco debut of Holiday Heroes presented by The Wender Weis Foundation for Children on Monday, Dec. 7 at The Golden Gate Club in The Presidio. The event is held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Earthquakes goalkeeper Joe Cannon, forward and leading goal-scorer Ryan Johnson, defender Chris Leitch and the Quakes mascot, Q will be appearing at the event. Children will be participating in all sorts of events and activities such as meet and greets with professional athletes from the Bay Area teams, holiday cookie and candy house decorating, face painting, and many other fun holiday activities. Q Appears at Holiday Parade
San Jose Earthquakes mascot Q and members of the Street Team appeared at the San Jose Holiday Parade on Sunday, Dec. 6. They walked in the parade, interacted with children and Q performed with a mariachi band.
Stuff the Bus Toy Drive
Every year in downtown San Jose, Marine Toys for Tots toy drive hosts a "stuff the bus" day to collect toys for Christmas gifts for needy children in the community. At the event, Valley Transit Authority buses are stuffed with toys. The San Jose Earthquakes front office is making a donation to the event. To participate in the toy drive, fans can bring in any new unwrapped toy to the Quakes offices by Friday, December 11. The offices are located at 451 El Camino Real Suite 220 in Santa Clara, CA.

Quakes 2010 Season Tickets
The San Jose Earthquakes have significantly reduced season ticket prices for the 2010 Major League Soccer season. Season tickets start as low as $204. Season ticket prices have been reduced in all sections; Premier Midfield will now be $40 per game ($50 in 2009), Center Circle $30 per game ($35 in 2009), Sideline $20 per game ($30 in 2009), Goal View $15 per game ($20 in 2009) and Supporters Section $12 per game ($18 in 2009). The Quakes have also created a number of new features and benefits for season ticket holders next year. A family section has been added inside the stadium, and the Supporters Section has been expanded to create an even greater home field advantage. Season Ticket Holders will additionally have access to the exclusive tailgate parking lot. Corona Cove seats will now be available as a season ticket option, and an extra row of NetSuite VIP On-field seats will be added for next season. Season Ticket Holders will also have first priority to purchase Earthquakes playoff tickets and tickets for international games. They will receive a 15 percent discount on game day merchandise, invitations to exclusive events, and priority rights to seats in the new stadium. The one thing that is not exclusive to Season Ticket Holders is savings.
