GALAXY GETS DOUBLE DIP THIS WEEK WITH CREW, CHIVAS: The Los Angeles Galaxy will have the chance to exact revenge on one team-while trying to avoid it against another-as they play two games in four days at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. On Wednesday, May 25 at 7:30 pm, the Galaxy host the Columbus Crew in a rematch of the 2005 season opener-won by Columbus, 3-0. On Saturday, May 28 at 7:00 pm, the Galaxy and CD Chivas USA will get together to write the second chapter of the Honda Super Clásico after the Galaxy took the first meeting 3-1. Both matches will be live on Spanish radio (KMXE 830). Saturday's match against Chivas will also be televised on HDNet and available on English radio (KMPC 1540).

Wednesday's match will give the Galaxy a chance to make up for the loss they suffered at the hands of Columbus on April 2 on a cold, windy night. Edson Buddle scored twice and former Galaxy player Ante Razov added a goal an assist to lead the Crew, who have struggled since that match.

Included in Wednesday night's activities are a sports career fair and a Business-to-Business networking reception, presented by the Galaxy and Remedy Staffing. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Galaxy toll-free at 1-877-3GALAXY.

In Saturday's "away" game, the Galaxy take on Chivas USA, who they handled 3-1 in the much-anticipated April 23 match. Cobi Jones, Peter Vagenas, and Jovan Kirovski all scored in a 19-minute assault during the first half to propel the Galaxy to victory. The Honda Super Clasico matches the only two intra-city rivals in Major League Soccer, the Galaxy and Chivas USA, with the winner of the four-game regular season series between the two taking home a trophy and bragging rights for a full year.

LATE VAGENAS GOAL GIVES GALAXY DRAMATIC WIN AGAINST THE QUAKES: The California Clásico didn't start as expected, but the Los Angeles Galaxy made sure it had an exciting end, playing almost 30 minutes reduced to 10 men before grabbing a 2-1 victory against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night at The Home Depot Center. Jovan Kirovski gave the Galaxy the lead late in the first half. After Ugo Ihemelu was sent off early in the second half, the Earthquakes pulled level through Ronald Cerritos. But Peter Vagenas scored 13 minutes from time to keep the Galaxy perfect on their home ground.

UMANA TRAVELS TO NORWAY TO REPRESENT COSTA RICA: Galaxy defender Michael Umaña left Los Angeles Sunday on a flight bound for Norway, where he is scheduled to play in an international friendly for Costa Rica's national team. The ticos and their hosts will play on Tuesday May 24 in Oslo, after which Umaña will return in time for the Galaxy's match against Chivas USA.

DONOVAN TO PLAY FOR U.S. SIDE FOR ENGLAND FRIENDLY MAY 28: Galaxy forward Landon Donovan is among 19 players called in by U.S. National Team head coach Bruce Arena for an international friendly against England on Saturday, May 28 in Chicago. The 23-year-old forward has made 61 previous appearances for the USA, scoring 19 goals.

GALAXY, HERDEZ PRESENT COPA L.A. AGAIN THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: For the fourth consecutive year, the Los Angeles Galaxy will be hosting the Copa L.A., presented by Herdez, this Memorial Day Weekend. The youth tournament, which will feature boys teams in age groups ranging from U-9 to U-19, will be held at the San Bernardino Soccer Complex. Several Galaxy players will be on hand throughout the weekend to sign autographs for participants and fans alike. Kohl's, La Curacao, Nike and Western Union will also sponsor this year's Copa LA.
