On Sunday, when Sporting Kansas City host the Seattle Sounders (3 pm ET, ESPN, MLS LIVE in Canada), they'll do so with a special symbol of solidarity for the local community. Their game kits will feature a patch honoring late Kansas City, Kansas Police Captain Robert Melton, who was fatally shot on duty earlier this week. Sporting will also auction off jerseys to benefit Melton's family, and donate proceeds from a raffle run by the team's Victory Project philanthropic effort.
