COLUMBUS CREW 1, COLORADO RAPIDS 1
COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH ROBERT WARZYCHA
On the Crew's performance:
"I am proud of the team because they had a very good performance today. We were better in every aspect of the game. We were just unlucky not to score some goals. We give up a goal at the end and we give up two points."
On whether the Crew is losing their edge at home:
"If you saw the game today I don't think [we are losing our edge at home]. We lost two points, but I don't think we are losing our advantage. The way we played today, we scare other teams because we create a lot of chances and the game was very exciting."
COLUMBUS CREW MIDFIELDER ADAM MOFFAT
On his previously injured knee:
"I'm not even thinking about the knee. As long as the ball is there, that is the only thing that I've got on my mind."
On going into the bye week this week:
"Going into the bye week, you just want to make up for it as soon as you can. Now we know we have to wait two weeks to get that victory that we should have gotten tonight. We're going to work hard for two weeks and get ready to go when we play Chicago."
On the Crew's injury-riddled roster:
"We're happy that by the next home game we will hopefully have 24 fit players. If not, we will have more than we had tonight at 17 players, so it will be good to have everyone back so we can really go at teams."
COLUMBUS CREW DEFENDER DANNY O'ROURKE
On Colorado's game-tying goal:
"I think [Casey] got one step ahead of [Eric] Brunner and I came over and I don't know how I missed it. I need to kick the ball out and I tried to kick the ball out. It hopped over my foot and it's just not good enough."
On the Crew's mentality:
"The mentality is that we just need to keep putting in hard work and I think the more hard work we put in the more balls that are going to bounce our way, the more luck we're going to have. We need to create our own [luck], we need to eliminate mistakes."
Looking ahead to the next two weeks:
"We're looking forward to getting everyone back healthy, looking forward to getting a good week and a half of training in and see what happens from there."
COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH GARY SMITH
On the Rapids' performance:
"I can only point to a difficult week, a lot of travel, and a bit of complacency. Other than that, there are no excuses for a poor display. I thought we picked it up a little bit in the second half, but the goal really masked quite a few cracks in the performance tonight."
COLORADO RAPIDS FORWARD CONOR CASEY
On his team's performance:
"Just get back to work next week. We've got a couple of days off now and then just get back to it. The first three games I thought we played well and today we just didn't. To get out with a point on the road, that is a positive note."
On scoring the late equalizer:
"The ball got played through by Pablo [Mastroeni]. I think the defender was a bit unlucky. He tried to clear it and it kind of bounded between his legs and I was free. I tried to put the goalie down; he got down and I just put the ball past him."
COLORADO RAPIDS DEFENDER UGO IHEMELU
On the Crew:
"They have attackers that come from wide in [Emmanuel] Ekpo and [Eddie] Gaven, and they're missing Robbie [Rogers]. It's pretty obvious how they try to play and they do a good job at it."
On his team's performance:
"We didn't play very well tonight, so any point is big, especially on the road. We'll take it and try to improve."
