The New York Red Bulls might just be the hottest team in Major League Soccer.
RBNY swept aside the Montreal Impact 4-0 at Red Bull Arena on Saturday to bag their fourth consecutive victory. The Red Bulls were paced once again by Daniel Royer, who opened the scoring with a cheeky penalty-kick finish and closed out the late-breaking rout by bagging his second in the dying minutes.
Montreal weathered New York's dominance for long stretches without breaking down completely. But Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his 80th career MLS goal to spark a late flurry that sent the Impact – who at least saw Ignacio Piatti return to the field as a second-half substitute – back to Quebec on the wrong end of a stinging result.

Three Things
RAGING ROYER
: It took the Austrian 20 games to score his first five MLS goals; he's now bagged six strikes in RBNY's last four matches. What happened? A
formation
change seems to have clarified everyone's roles, and brought out attributes in Royer that were previously not maximized. He earned and dispatched a penalty vs. IMFC, and had a decent claim to another as he continues to fuel New York's resurgence.
