The Arlington County Police Department will close numerous roads on the east side of the County on Sunday, Oct. 30, for the 30th annual Marine Corps Marathon. The streets that will be affected are:
From 4:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.:
From 8 a.m. to noon:
Runners, spectators and support personnel are encouraged to use Metro.
Metro is opening one hour earlier than normal (6:00 a.m.), and the
Rosslyn station on the Blue and Orange Lines, the Arlington Cemetery
station on the Blue Line and the Pentagon station on the Blue and Yellow
Lines are all within walking distance of the of the start and finish
lines near the Iwo Jima memorial.
In addition, street parking in the affected areas will be restricted.
Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary "No Parking" signs.
Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is
towed from a public street, call 703-228-4252.
