FC Dallas sign forward Sean Bucknor

24-year-old forward Sean Bucknor will bring imposing size and depth to the FC Dallas frontline.

FC Dallas announced Friday that the team has signed forward Sean Bucknor. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We're very happy to have Sean Bucknor with us," said FC Dallas Head Coach Schellas Hyndman. "Sean is an athletic player who has great size, strength and speed. He's very enthusiastic, you can see the hunger in his eyes, and he's going to be a difficult player for opponents to handle."

The 24-year-old attended Owens Community College in Findlay, Ohio, where he scored 28 goals in each his freshman and sophomore years (2006, 2007), setting the school's all-time scoring record. He transferred to the University of Tampa in 2008 but did not play.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, but having spent the majority of his life in Jamaica, Bucknor has made appearances with the Jamaica U-17 national team.
