Dynamo celebrates faith and family

Many consider soccer one of the few sports where families can truly sit, watch, and enjoy the action. In recognition of those who enjoy the game in a group setting, and who also celebrate their faith through sports, Houston Dynamo will be holding its first "Faith and Family Night" on June 17, against Real Salt Lake.

The event will kick off with concerts by two Christian rock bands, from 5:30 p.m. to approximately 7:15 p.m. Matt Walden, who plays Modern Worship music with rock roots, Soul Influence, which specializes in a cappella gospel music, and the female gospel group SOTE will surely delight the ears of those who enjoy a family-friendly environment, and like to live their faith through the game of soccer.

"Faith and family night is a great way to reach out to those families with strong connections to their places of worship," said Dynamo President and General Manager Oliver Luck. "We would love to have them come out, watch a great game of soccer, and celebrate their faith as well."

After the game, fans are also welcome to stay and continue celebrating their faith. Houston Dynamo midfielder Patrick Ianni and a special guest will be on the field giving testimony, talking about the positive influence of faith in their lives.
